There is a solitude that few know—the solitude of the producer and distributor, who, after every round of applause and every full house, remains in the shadows. It is a solitude felt in every late-night email response, in every call to secure a date, in every door that closes before finally finding the one that opens.
This work is like a long journey, filled with difficult roads, with sweat and tears that no one sees. We fight to bring art where it deserves to be, to open doors for the artist we love, to make their light shine in more and more theaters.
But sometimes, in the silence of the office or the car on the road, we feel the weight of every effort, every “no,” every endless wait for that one answer that could change everything.
The audience only sees the magic of the stage, the moment when art unfolds and touches the soul of those who witness it. And every time I see it, I am moved—because I know what lies behind it, I know what it took to get there.
And despite everything, I would choose it all over again. Because when we finally make it, when I see that artist I’ve supported triumph on stage, I know that every effort, every sleepless night, was worth it.
Because if art is a bridge to the soul, my job is to ensure that this bridge reaches as far as possible—even if, for me, the journey is often a lonely one.
For all those who stand behind the scenes, in the shadows, yet with their hearts full of passion for what they do.
To those who, like me, know that art is also built in the silence of hard work.
